Former NFL running back Zac Stacy has been arrested on charges of aggravated battery, according to the St. Louis Rams, the team he played for before becoming an undrafted free agent for the Dallas Cowboys in 2016.
Stacy, 24, was among 17 players arrested on various charges from DUI to possession of marijuana. He was last seen having dinner with former NFL running back DeAngelo Williams in St. Louis on Saturday. Stacy, 24, has been arrested on several domestic-violence charges in the past.
Stacy ran for 479 yards in 2015, his rookie season with the Rams.
According to a report on the video, Stacy allegedly was involved in an altercation with his ex-girlfriend. The league said Sunday, via NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, that Stacy was not released until 8 p.m. Saturday night as the league was still taking the available information and its ramifications.

Stacy signed with the Cowboys in 2016 and spent most of the season on the practice squad. In total, he played 14 games for Dallas but didn’t catch a pass.
The Jacksonville Jaguars signed Stacy to their practice squad in January, but released him before the start of the regular season after rookie Jordan Wilkins became the starting running back.
Stacy was a four-year starter at Vanderbilt and rushed for 2,040 yards and 17 touchdowns as a senior in 2014.
Stacy entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2015 and participated in Dallas’ offseason program in 2016.
Dallas’ main running back Jay Ajayi was arrested on Sunday after police in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, said he was driving dangerously. Ajayi is the 30th player arrested by Fort Lauderdale police since 2016.
He led the Miami Dolphins with 15 touchdowns last season but was traded to the Eagles. Ajayi signed a four-year, $24.4 million contract with Philadelphia in the offseason.
