Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro’s political project continues to lose ground as opposition forces prepare for what they expect will be a decisive challenge in the next round of elections.
FOX’s Lilian Woo reports from Caracas:
Venezuela is once again on the brink of chaos. Over the past week, the nation has seen deadly clashes between protesters and security forces as well as continued shortages in basic necessities like food and medicine.
Meanwhile, President Nicolas Maduro is getting ready for a decisive election next month after taking Cuba and China as major backers. The opposition says voting is meaningless if Maduro hasn’t allowed it for six years. And, if they continue to lose public support as Venezuelans wait in line to see if the president will be removed from power, many say it could lead to another revolution.
